Our story

A specialist trade, not a sideline

Darrin Straub founded Advanced Stucco Repair in 1999 with a simple idea: stucco and EIFS problems are water problems, and they should be diagnosed and repaired by people who understand how the wall was built. From our base in Canton, we have grown into a commercial envelope contractor serving Metro Atlanta and North Georgia, including Duluth and the rest of Gwinnett County.

We do not paint, roof or remodel. We survey facades, test for water, replace failed sealant and flashing, repair substrate, restore and recoat stucco and EIFS, and install new systems for general contractors. Keeping that focus is how we learned the failure patterns of the building types that fill Duluth's corridors, from 1990s EIFS office buildings to garden-style apartment communities and newer mixed-use buildings downtown.
